It's a busy week! Here are some reminders...

WOW it's a busy week at S.E.E.!  Here are some important dates to remember for the week of August 27 - 31:

• Last day for Spirit Wear orders is Friday, August 31.  To order online please go   HERE .  Also remember that we have two new shirts added, both in youth sizes.  You can view those two items at the online store mentioned above.
• Coke Sales end on Friday, August 31.  Please turn in your order forms and money no later than Friday. 
• If your child sold a total of FIVE or  more cases of drinks, then he/she will earn a reward trip to the park on Friday.  All order forms and money must be turned in Friday morning for students to earn reward.

We had a GREAT time last week at the park!  Thanks to everyone who earned the reward!!!

Coke Fundraiser Reward Day #1 is Tomorrow!

!!!!!REMINDER!!!!!

 

 

Tomorrow is a reward day for those students who have sold at least 3 cases of drinks this week.  Here is what you need to do:

• If your child has sold at least 3 cases of soft drinks, send a COPY of your child's Coke Order Sheet in the morning for their teacher to check. 
• You do not need to send in money, we will be collecting that next Friday.
• If your child sold 3 cases of drinks, he/she will earn a reward trip to the park tomorrow with Mr. Woosley!

It's a NEW WEEK - Please vote for S.E.E.!!

It's a NEW week, so that means you can vote again in the Give with Target Promotion! Even if you voted last week, please vote again for S.E.E. and help us earn gift cards for our school.

We are at 295 votes right now!!! 5 more votes will get us to $300 in FREE Target Gift Cards!  Target posted on their facebook page yesterday that they were close to reaching their goal of giving away 2.5 million in giftcards which will mean this promotion will soon end.  So if you have not voted this week please do before it's over!

This is a SUPER easy way to help our school earn money! For every 25 votes South Edmonson gets, we earn a $25 Target Gift Card!!!!!

Here's how you can vote:

Go to the Target Facebook Page

- Click on the Give With Target Link at the Top of the Page

- On the next page, in the "Find a school" section, type in South Edmonson in the "School Name" box OR just type in 42171 in the "City, State, Zip" box.

- Choose South Edmonson Elementary on next page and Vote (you will be ask to allow the Give with Target Application access on your Facebook page. You will need to allow for your vote to count)

- You can vote one time per week through September 8th.

- Every 25 votes equals a $25 Target Gift Card!!!!

Coke Sales Start Today!!!

Mr. Woosley kicked of the first day of our Coke Sales Fundraiser in a SUPER way with a great assembly this afternoon. 

You should have received information regarding this fundraiser in your child's backpack either on Friday or this afternoon.  The sale will run through August 31 and all orders and money are due on that Friday, August 31.

Coca-Cola products are $18.00 for a case of 20 oz bottles (24 bottles to each case) and Powerade products are $21.00 per case.  Our goal is for each student to sell five cases.  There are several great prizes that the students can win, including $100 in cash for the school's top seller!

If you child sells 3 cases of drinks and brings in his/her order sheet for their teacher to check by this Friday, August 24, they will earn a trip to the park with Mr. Woosley that afternoon.

If you child sells a total of 5 or more cases and turns in all orders and money by next Friday, August 31, they will earn a trip to the park with Mr. Woosley that afternoon.  So they have a chance to win two trips to the park!!!

There are also prizes for 2nd and 3rd place overall sellers as well as prizes for classrooms, too. Please see your information sheet for all the prizes and pick up date.

The money raised from this fundraiser will be used to pay for the parade float, fall festival expenses, replenish our general fund and go toward our Goal Project of purchasing new technology. 

Please help South Edmonson reach our goal by participating in this great fundraiser!!  Your help and generosity is always appreciated.

PTO Meeting Update

Thanks to everyone who came out last night to show their support to the SEE PTO by attending the meeting.  It was a GREAT crowd and it was great to hear the ideas and thoughts from many of you there.  Here is a short summary of the things we discussed for those who were unable to attend and you can expect the full Meeting Minutes to be added in the coming days.

• Approved a proposal to repair a piece of damaged playground equipment.  The cost will be $836.01
• Established a Parade Float Budget of $500 (down from $810 spent last year). Laura Grace Vincent is Chairperson of the Float Committee and will be contacting those of you who have signed up to volunteer on Parade Float.  If you would like to sign up to help, please email me at southedmonsonpto@gmail.com.  We would love to have anyone who wants to help!
• Approved a Fall Festival Budget at $2,000 to purchase needed prizes, royalty items, supplies and such for Fall Festival.
• Gave out information on Coke Sales, such as prizes, delivery and sell dates, etc.
• Discussed addition of two new shirts to spirit wear items.  Both are in youth sizes.  For more info see post HERE.
• Discussed and approved for our PTO Goal Project to be the purchase of technology.
• Ms. Lisa Lindsey gave us information regarding the Title 1 program.  She also provided us with snacks and door prizes. - Thank you Ms. Lisa!
• Set next PTO meeting for Thursday, September 27 at 6:00 PM

Newest Completed PTO Project

We now have a newly re-paved ball court and track!  It looks GREAT and the kids will get many years of great play time out of it.  This also shows a great view of the new mulch that added to the playground at the end of last school year. 

Thank you to every parent, student, teacher, faculty member, friends and family of S.E.E. students who helped sell in fundraisers or purchased something for a fundraiser.  This is just one of the ways that your hard work has helped S.E.E.

This is what PTO is all about...helping to make South Edmonson a better place for our children to learn and grow!

Don't forget to attend the PTO meeting this Thursday, August 16 at 6PM.  We have several important items to go over and approve.
